Macrocell corrosion of steel rebar in concrete induced by corrosive environments has attracted widespread attention the engineering community due to its rapid rate, diverse forms, and multiple incentives. Potential differences between dissimilar coupled or different parts same mainly cause macrocell rebar. The more significant potential difference, faster rate macrocell. Based on existing research reports reinforced concrete, this review paper comprehensively discusses macro- micro-corrosion behavior various types rebar, a variety induction factors, such as metals concentration service environment, development rules. electrochemical mechanisms for macrocells are summarized. ZRA (zero-resistance ammeter), micro-area testing technology evaluation techniques commonly used laboratory, listed. Common experimental models briefly introduced. internal characteristics further proposes control strategy corrosion, starting from improvement resistance regulating environment structure (RCS). Meanwhile, future direction is also preliminarily prospected.
